And Here's To You Miss Ross
Katharine Ross: Combining brains and beauty with sensitivity and subtle sexuality, Katharine Ross was an icon for young actresses of the late 60's. With her unique cleft chin, those big brown eyes, great smile, and that long lustrous hair, she was one of the most appealing young actresses of her time. She had a natrual youthful beauty, that radiated intelligence. She was a believable college student in her breakthrough film, The Graduate. For her performance as Elaine Robinson, Katharine was nominated for a Golden Globe and Oscar for best supporting actress. Her no nonsense manner also made her the perfect choice as a worthy foil for Newman's Butch Cassidy. Often overlooked, Katharine Ross is an icon in her own right and she is remembered for her stylish and intelligent presence onscreen.
