Gail Zappa, was born Adelaide Gail Sloatman 1st January 1945. This lissome, wide-eyed doll met Frank Zappa when he was 25, and she was 20. Gail worked at the Whisky a Go-Go and The Trip for Elmer Valentine. She was introduced to Frank by Pamela Zarubica in 1966.
They married in 1967. They were together up until his untimely death, in 1993. She and Frank had four kids together: Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet, and Diva.

Another perfect post : ) Thanks for sharing all the fabulous pics! I grew up in Laurel Canyon, and went to school with Ahmet and Diva, but I was always fascinated by Gail. She is an awesome mom, and such a great muse. They are a really sweet family. Their Laurel Cnyn. house was up for sale recently, and it was my dream to buy it. Oh well, next time.
The woman on the two pics where Frank stands with a guitar in that flowery pair of trousers is not Gail. She's Claudia Cardinale.
Oh, what a treat to see the beautiful face that Frank loved. I knew him briefly in the late 70's and always felt that his wife was a very lucky woman.
I loved seeing the photos of the extended family of a couple of old friends. I went to High School in Kailua with Midget and Squiget and their sister whom I'm blanking on right now, guess we smoked to much cannibus.
ZAPPA HAD A COOL LIFE EVEN THOUGH IT ENDED WAY TOO SOON.
