Grace Slick -The formidable dark-eyed diva of San Fransisco's Jefferson Airplane wrote most of the groups most memorable songs like"White Rabbit" and "Lather". When Grace joined the group in '66 she was 27. Grace brought a distinctive, forceful vocal style to the group and with her hypnotic looks Jefferson Airplane really took off. Grace was one of the only frontwomen in Rock along with Janis Joplin. Her sixties look: Striking blue eyes, a pretty face framed by thick black bangs, and long black hair. She embraced all of the fashions of the late sixties-soft'n'lacy, tough'n' leathery, psychedelic- and made them her own.
