I was looking through my old journals and I remember I was really inspired by Edie. My Senior year of High School I took art. I always research and collect when I work on specific pieces. I was doing a few Edie inspired paintings at the time and I had a lot of information and pictures, articles, that were put into my sketchbook.

Edie is really inspiring...I went through an Edie phase myself...but mine was more focused on Andy Warhol. She was beautiful though!

I love your collages!
I'm another Edie freak. Why is it that we are so given to artistic inspiration in high school? With me, it was the photos of Audrey and Inez de la Fressange and anything mod. I wore go-go boots, gorgeous white ones, to school in 1987. Kids laughed. I didn't care because I knew what it was all about. I splurged and bought foreign fashion magazines for the feel of the pictures. Kids thought I was weird. I didn't care because I knew what I was all about, even then.
i'm so glad i re-found your site!! edie has fueled my distrust/ hatred of bob dylan for years. she was so beautiful and her life seems so sad. in a biography i read about her, everyone interviewed just really talked about themselves, it was depressing to think her only friends were too self absorbed to really notice anything except that she would buy them crazy fancy dinners. she would have loved your collages i bet!!
