Sandie Shaw: The original Brit "It" Girl, was featured in the 1967 book: Birds of Britain. She had chiselled cheekbones, sophisticated pop operas, and was an independent girl about town. Sandie was full of charm, impossible glamour, and had an angelic voice. Her trademark bare feet, made her barefaced and Shaw-footed. Sandie's first number one single happened when she was only 17 years old. She had two more under her belt by the time she was 20.

Come to think of it Franc must have been really anglophile in the 1960's. We really loved Petula Clark, Jane Birkin, and of course Sandy Shaw, who was indeed reknowned for singing barefoot. All this gals made the effort though, they all sang in French, and I do remember Sandy Shaw singing "Puppet on a String" which in French was "Comme un tout petit pantin".
She looks like Carla Bruni !
