The Ghost of Electricity

The first song I ever heard by Bob Dylan was Mr. Tambourine Man, when I was about 7 years old and ever since then I have become aquainted with all his music. When I was 15 I flew to Tucson, Arizona to visit my sister (who went to U of A) and to go to a Bob Dylan concert. I was so excited that my sister took me because she was not very familiar with his music(we have very different taste in music). Sadly, I had to leave early because she got food poisoning...

I'm sorry for taking so long to do another post! School has been taking up a lot of my time lately.

The one of him smiling is so unusual, think it is the first tiem I have seen Dylan with teeth!

ps I misread that poster at first, I thought he was saying 'truth is cheese'. I almost wish he had been.

Once again such an amazing post. Thank you!! Which makes me think, as Dylan knew Edie Sedgwick and being a huge fan of her, it would be so amazing if you could do a post by her some day! Once again, thank you for this blog your work is amazing!

I love his comment about his hair... true that!
And his houndstooth suit!
He has a bit of Paul Newman about the eyes in some of these photos don't you think?

I went to see him a couple of years ago, I wasn't too impressed. I think with some bands i'd rather remember them as they were. x

Ah Dylan.. So amazing. But you know I saw him live in 2005 and he was so dour and didn't say hello. I think he's learned to laugh at himself a bit more now in old-er age.

Love him though!

If the 1960's is summed up by one person, it's Bob Dylan. Fifty years after he released his first album the question still remains: Who was he? And how did he come up with those words in which it has gotten other singers shot to death (John Lennon, Marvin Gaye)? I mean he was doing songs over ten minutes at a time (mid 60's) when music was on AM and stuck on two minutes!
