The Eyes Have It

Elizabeth Taylor: February 27, 1932-March 23, 2011

Legendary violet-eyed actress Elizabeth Taylor, 79, died of congestive heart failure Wednesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She began her career as a child star, and as an adult she came to be known for her acting talent and beauty. Her highly publicized private life, including eight marriages- her most famous to Richard Burton. Taylor was considered one of the great actresses of Hollywood's Golden Age. My Mom was named after her, My Uncle liked Elizabeth Taylor and suggested the name "Elizabeth". So sad. R.I.P. Liz

Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most beautiful women in the world. Her work for the AIDS Foundation was outstanding. My prayers are with her family. She will be missed.

The eyes certainly had it...and so did her beauty spot. When my mother was a teen in the 60s she and all her friends would pencil faux beauty spots on their cheeks a la Liz. Liz was THE beauty reference at the time.
She left instructions to be late for her own funeral. What a Lady!
